Competitive sourcing, pre-approved suppliers, no delays.
Procurement that works as hard as your project does.
At D&S Resources, procurement isn’t a back-office function — it’s an integrated part of how we deliver projects. Our procurement team works alongside our engineers, project managers and fabricators from the outset of every scope, ensuring that the right materials arrive at the right time, at the right price, and to the right quality standard.
Our established supplier network spans Australia and key international markets, giving us the sourcing reach to be competitive on price without cutting corners on quality or compliance. Every supplier we work with is pre-qualified against our ISO 9001-certified quality management system — so when materials arrive on site or in our workshop, they’re ready to use.
Integrated procurement — sourced competitively, qualified rigorously, delivered on time.

A supply chain built for complex projects
D&S Resources has an established procurement and logistics network spanning Australia and key international markets, including a Hong Kong-aligned supply chain built on longstanding commercial relationships across Greater China. This network gives us access to high-specification components — corrosion-resistant piping, industrial valves, precision flanges and structural components — at competitive landed costs, with ISO-compliant quality documentation and shorter lead times than many domestic alternatives.
Materials we regularly source through our international network include:
- Corrosion-resistant piping and fittings for mining and water infrastructure
- Heavy-duty industrial valves for high-pressure process systems
- Precision-welded flanges and structural components
- Mechanical and electrical components for modular systems
- Specialised fabrication materials including exotic metals
All internationally sourced materials are pre-qualified through D&S’s QA framework, with CE-marked and ISO-compliant documentation maintained as standard. Our international procurement capability was formally recognised in 2025 with the HKABA National Import/Export Excellence Award.
how we deliver
Procurement Capabilities
Strategic sourcing
We identify, evaluate and engage suppliers based on quality, price, lead time and compliance — maintaining a pre-approved vendor register that is regularly reviewed and audited. For each project, we develop a sourcing strategy that balances cost, schedule and risk, drawing on both our established relationships and competitive tendering where appropriate.
• Pre-approved vendor register across materials and equipment categories
• Competitive tendering and supplier evaluation
• International and domestic sourcing capability
• Long-term supply agreements for volume and repeat requirements
• Cost benchmarking and value engineering support
Purchase order & expediting management
We manage the full purchase order lifecycle — from requisition through to delivery confirmation — with active expediting to keep materials on schedule and ahead of site requirements.
• Purchase order generation and management
• Supplier expediting and delivery tracking
• Inspection coordination at supplier facilities
• Documentation management — mill certificates, test reports, CoC
• Freight and logistics coordination, including international shipments
• Goods receipt, inspection and quarantine management
Supplier qualification & auditing
Every supplier D&S Resources works with is assessed against our quality and compliance requirements before being added to our approved vendor register. We conduct periodic audits and performance reviews to maintain the standard.
• Supplier pre-qualification and assessment
• Quality management system verification
• On-site supplier audits for critical or high-value supply
• Performance monitoring and supplier scorecards
• Non-conformance management and corrective action follow-up
Inventory & materials management
For longer programmes and frame agreements, D&S can manage materials inventory — maintaining appropriate stock levels to support project schedules without unnecessary holding costs.
• Materials planning aligned to project schedule
• Inventory management for frame agreements and long-term programmes
• Secure storage at our Pooraka facility
• Materials tracking, identification and traceability
• Surplus and disposal management at project close-out
Procurement as part of EPCM delivery
For clients engaging D&S on an EPCM basis, procurement is fully integrated into the project delivery model — managed by our team on the client’s behalf, with full transparency on pricing, supplier selection and order status. This removes the administrative burden from the client while maintaining visibility and control.
• Fully integrated procurement within EPCM scope
• Client-transparent pricing and supplier selection
• Regular procurement status reporting
• Budget management and cost forecasting
• Procurement close-out and as-built materials records
