D&S managed the construction and maintenance of a crushing and milling facility at Dry Creek, Adelaide. The project entailed transport, refurbishment, assembly, install, integration, commission at a processing plant. The clients’ requirements involved meeting production targets and operational maintenance functions.

Scope of Work
D&S designed, fabricated, supplied, installed, and commissioned at Dry Creek various units as part of Hallett Group processing plant including discharge blower to trucks:
Dry Ash Unit
- Pump
- Dryer
- Centrifuge
- Mixer
- Water Tanks
- Silo
Wet Ash Unit
- Mixer
- Centrifuge
- Filter
- Pumps and receiver
Loading-Unloading Unit
- Ash Silo
- Slag Silo
- Ash Tank Blower
- Slag Tank Blower
Slag Production Unit
- Electrical Motor
- Gearbox
- Pinion
- Mill
The responsibilities and obligations included:
- Equipment list (piping, tubing, electrical) and cable schedule
- List of system and subsystems
- Preliminary and functional tests
- Setting points (alarms and trips)
- Piping and vessels (leak test / pressure test or service test)
- Spare list, lubricant, special tools, chemicals
- Engineering drawings
- Startup and Operating manual
- Data sheets
- Electrical distribution
- Lighting layout
Skills/services demonstrated
- Full-plant delivery, not component supply — design, fabrication, supply, installation and commissioning handled as one continuous scope across four process units
- Multi-discipline equipment integration — pumps, dryers, centrifuges, mixers, silos, blowers, motors, gearboxes and mills brought together into working, interconnected systems
- Process engineering depth — able to design and integrate Dry Ash, Wet Ash, Loading-Unloading and Slag Production as a coordinated processing sequence, not isolated units
- Rigorous testing and commissioning discipline — preliminary and functional tests, alarm/trip setpoints, leak/pressure/service testing on piping and vessels
- Comprehensive engineering and handover documentation — drawings, data sheets, equipment/cable schedules, spares and lubricant lists, startup and operating manuals
- Electrical and lighting scope — electrical distribution and lighting layout delivered alongside the mechanical/process works
- Operational readiness focus — built the plant to support the client’s ongoing production targets and maintenance functions, not just a handover-and-exit job
