As part of BHP’s Carrapateena Operation, D&S Resources successfully delivered the Northern Borefields Stage 4 Project, strengthening critical raw water infrastructure to support increased site throughput and long-term operational reliability. Delivered in partnership with BHP, this project highlights our capability to execute large-scale, turnkey pipeline and water infrastructure works in remote mining environments.

As part of BHP’s Carrapateena Operation, D&S Resources successfully delivered the installation of the overland tailings pipeline for the Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) Stage 2A expansion. This project demonstrates our team’s capability to execute complex SMPP (Structural, Mechanical, Piping & Platework) works efficiently and safely in operational mining environments.

D&S Resources successfully fabricated a 130,000L self-bunded tank for storing 98% sulfuric acid. Built to Australian standards, it ensures maximum safety with secondary containment and pressure testing. A reliable, custom-built solution for hazardous material storage.

Located in South Australia, the Beverley Uranium Mine sits between the northern Flinders Ranges and Lake Frome, approximately 550 km north of Adelaide. This site is known for its uranium processing capabilities, handling uranium from nearby deposits through a series of advanced operations including elution, iron removal, precipitation, thickening, drying, and packing. 

This project showcased D&S Resources' capability to handle complex modifications in a critical operational context. Conditioning Tank Modifications involved modifying the conditioning tank to enhance throughput as part of the plant upgrade to 7Mtpa. Primary Cyclone Cluster Modifications aimed to improve slurry conveyance and prepared for future enhancements by increasing the size of the launder.

D&S Resources were engaged by Iluka Resources to convert their processing plant from a dual stream to a single stream process on the Jacinth-Ambrosia mine, located in the Eucla Basin, approx 300km north-west of Ceduna.

The project aimed to design and manufacture 2 x 60t and 1 x 120t silos with vibrating discharge feeders. The work involved welding stainless steel and assembling multiple silos measuring 11 meters high and 4 meters wide, and delivering them from Adelaide to Price.

This project involved the construction of a new tailings pipeline and the installation of pumping stations. The comprehensive project scope encompassed civil, structural, mechanical, and piping works, as well as electrical and instrumentation tasks, culminating in the commissioning phase.

The Loss of Power Risk Remediation Project required the installation of two new 132/11kV transformers at Olympic Dam North 132kV Switchyard to replace two transformers (TF0001 and TF0002) that are end-of-life (32 years old). The investment also included the purchase of a spare 132/11kV transformer that can be used for any of the eight existing 132/11kV transformers onsite.

D&S Resources provided comprehensive services for a variety of projects, including the supply and installation of both underground and above-ground components for the camp. Our work encompassed upgrading the Tailings line, expanding the Camp firewater system, and enhancing the LV workshop's stormwater setup.

D&S delivered a range of services, including fabrication, electrical, and maintenance, to GE Renewable Energy for their Murra Warra Windfarm project. This project is situated 25km north of Horsham, nestled between the Henty Highway and Blue-Ribbon Road in Victoria's Wimmera region.

D&S managed the construction and maintenance of a crushing and milling facility at Dry Creek, Adelaide. The project entailed transport, refurbishment, assembly, install, integration, commission at a processing plant. The clients’ requirements involved meeting production targets and operational maintenance functions.

This project required the upgrade of the tailings line, expansion of the camp firewater system, upgrade of the LV workshop stormwater system, installation of transmission pumps, installation of process airlines, labour support for the batch plant, supply and welding of HDPE piping, and replacement and refurbishment of equipment.

D&S provided construction and maintenance services to design, supply, manufacture, assemble, quality assurance, inspection, testing, packaging and identification of the Wellfields and general site construction for the Honeymoon Project in South Australia.
