D&S delivered a range of services, including fabrication, electrical, and maintenance, to GE Renewable Energy for their Murra Warra Windfarm project. This project is situated 25km north of Horsham, nestled between the Henty Highway and Blue-Ribbon Road in Victoria’s Wimmera region. During the annual shutdown period, our client needed both a replacement and an upgrade of the rotating stabilizer, tasks that D&S successfully executed.

Scope of Work

The responsibilities and obligations included:

  • Removal of RS Cooling unit
  • Removal of RS enclosure
  • Modification / installation of access panels to RS enclosure
  • Modification to stainless steel piping on cooler pump unit
  • Installation of Air baffles inside RS Cooler

Loss of Power Risk Remediation

The Loss of Power Risk Remediation Project required the installation of two new 132/11kV transformers at Olympic Dam North 132kV Switchyard to replace two transformers (TF0001 and TF0002) that are end-of-life (32 years old). The investment also included the purchase of a spare 132/11kV transformer that can be used for any of the eight existing 132/11kV transformers onsite.
